About Project BEST

Project BEST is a non-profit construction advocacy organization that jointly represents the construction unions that make up the Upper Ohio Valley Building Trades Council, and the Contractors that utilize the union workforce. We encompass roughly 500 contractors and over 6,000 tradesmen and women.

Project BEST aims to promote and protect the construction industry here in the Upper Ohio Valley (Wheeling, WV/Steubenville, OH metro area). When a project is happening here in the local are, we strive to educate the decision makers on why our contractors are the best option, due to their committment to employing highly-trained and safety-concious Union craftspeople.

Aside from marketing our contractors and local workforce, we also aim to educate the next generation and also the general public on the outstanding opportunies a career in the construciton trades can provide them. Project BEST works to form relationships with local high school guidance counselors, vocational schools, technical schools, community colleges, and other workforce organizations.

The Project BEST Board of Directors meet monthly to administer and review the direction of the organization and the impacts on the local community.
